Hope Edition (Honduras - Organic):

The Hope Edition is our very first organic coffee! It is a medium bodied coffee that provides a well-rounded cup with good flavor and aroma. We use certified Organic Honduras beans grown in Central America. This one is guaranteed to delight your palate. The Honduras bean is rated SHG / EP which means the following:

  • SHG (Strictly High Grown) specifies that the coffee was grown at an altitude higher than 1350 meters. Coffee grown at a higher altitude and lower temperature produces a slower maturing fruit and a denser bean; which creates a more desirable specialty cup; this classification is higher than HG.
  • EP (European Preparation) specifies that the raw beans are all hand sorted to remove any defective beans and foreign material

Decaf Edition:

The Decaf Edition is for the coffee lover who may be sensitive to the effects of caffeine such as mothers who are breast feeding, individuals suffering from insomnia, etc. Excelso Grade gives softer and slightly more acidic taste.

Decaffeinated coffee – or Decaf in short is coffee that have had at least 97% of the caffeine removed. When carbon dioxide gas is cooled and placed under pressure, it becomes a liquid. In this state it is able to bind with the caffeine molecule in green beans as the carbon dioxide acts as a magnet. Green coffee is soaked in containers of liquid carbon dioxide until the caffeine is “soaked out”. The carbohydrates and proteins in the coffee bean are not affected and they attribute to the flavour and smell after roasting. Purity of the coffee is assured because of the extremely low boiling point of carbon dioxide. This specific coffee was decaffeinated by Coffe in Campagnie in Bremen.

Honey Brew:

Honey Brew is an exquisite and super unique coffee. It's flavours are different than anything you have tasted before. There are typical nutty hints in the aroma but also bursting with maple syrup and a tangy acidity. You are going to have to taste this to believe us.

Honey Brew comes filled with Honey processed South American Single Origin Arabica Beans. The Arabica varietal includes Caturra and Pacamara as well as Bourbon and is grown 1100 - 1600m above sea level.

The secret lies in the processing of the coffee bean. The mucilage of the coffee cherry is sticky and slimy when the skin and fruit of the coffee bean is removed, so it is sometimes called “honey”. During the Honey Process, coffee is dried with some or all of the mucilage remaining on the parchment encasing the seed. Coffee cherries are picked, sorted, de-pulped, and then moved to drying patios or beds for various periods of time. Because there is a little bit of fermentation happening in the short amount of time it takes for the mucilage to dry, coffees processed in this way feature a little more acidity than washed coffees.
